Living at Sacred Groves
Imagine waking to bird song, surrounded by the beauty of the woods, stepping outdoors, feeling the earth beneath your feet, breathing fresh air, walking forested paths, living close to the earth and to others with whom you share dinners, movies, discussions and laughter.
Sacred Groves is a community of friends and families sharing a 10 acre forest sanctuary on Bainbridge Island, living in harmony with each other, nature and spirit. We have developed a unique lifestyle—a balance between private spaces and communal sharing of kitchen, laundry, bathrooms, living/family rooms. Our hand-crafted houses and charming little cabins blend beautifully with our natural surroundings.
Available Homes and Cabins
The Log House

The Log House is a charming hand-crafted home built in the mid-70's by Therese and her was-band David where they raised their daughter Ariel. The house has three levels: a daylight basement where the kitchen, dining and bathroom is located (which will be shared occasionally with other Groves' residents). The second floor includes the master bedroom, a small bedroom and a small den. There are two lofts on a third level--over the master bedroom and over the den. All this in about 1000 sq feet plus 2 outdoor porches. Perfect for a couple or small family. Rent is $900/month.
.Private Cabins

Our private cabins offer the opportunity to live in community while maintaining a little distance and privacy. Each is around 300 square feet, intended to be bedroom and/or office space. Monthly rents range from $500-$650/month and includes shared use of nearby facilities and our beautiful 10 acre forest sanctuary. Available May and June 2008.
Joining our Community
If you like what you see in the Sacred Groves Vision, Mission and Values, lets talk!
We are looking for people who are committed to and experienced with spiritual and personal growth work, are emotionally balanced, have good communication skills, and are enthused about meeting the joys and challenges posed by living in community.
We are pledged to the letter and spirit of U.S. policy for the achievement of equal housing opportunity throughout the Nation. We encourage and support an affirmative advertising and marketing program in which there are no barriers to obtaining housing because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin.
